SERVA was founded in 1953 in Heidelberg, Germany, to address the growing demand for specialist life science products where broad range, excellent quality and convenient pack sizes were required. Quality and convenience is as important today as it ever was and now, after more than five decades, SERVA is an established and well respected supplier of an increasing range of life science products. In addition to supplying specialist products and reagents the company markets and supports a growing range of technology and related systems. This includes electrophoresis separation technologies and materials used in sample preparation and analysis. The company continues to pioneer in the area of protein and nucleic acid chemistry including gel preparation and separation media, gel running and staining chemistry, Ion Exchange products, precast gels, IEF and Immobilized pH gradient technology including ampholytes. More recently the company has introduced Collagenase, blotting and biomolecular standards to extend and enhance the range.
